Gardening For Wildlife Easter Letter
March 21, 2008
Hi,

A blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend.

Do you ever wonder why the events leading up to and including Easter Sunday happened in the Spring?

Here is my take on it.

What happens in the Spring?

Spring rains wash away the dirt and bring life to dormant plants.

Plants come to life with fresh green growth and flowers.

Animals give birth to new life, another generation.

Spring brings hopes and promises of new life,

A fresh start.

Easter Sunday.......... Resurrection Sunday gives all of us that chance of a fresh start.

A promise from God.

A New Life.

As long as I can recall, birds have fascinated me.

As a young boy around 6 or 7 years of age I was helping my dad in the family garden and loving it.

As a teen, I had a real appreciation for nature and my surroundings.

It wasn't until my mid 20's that I realized my love for nature and our planet was one of God's gifts to me.

By my late 30's I finally understood that God wanted me to do something with this gift he gave me.

I was to teach, inspire and help others to understand and appreciate the planet that God gave us to call home for a short period of time.

When I began to do so, another world opened up to me.

I began to notice details in flowers and leaves that I never took time to notice, or I was to blind and couldn't see.

All of the minute details of what makes a bird and what makes a butterfly a butterfly.

Everything is to beautiful and detailed, to have just happened.

God made all of this for me,........... for us to enjoy, not destroy.

It is an insult to my intelligence to think that a cosmic "OOPS" happened and everything that we know came to be from an oops.

Many scientists try to explain creation away as evolution, as a Big Bang.

Our relatives climbed out of a tree?

Maybe their kin folk, but not mine.

Real intelligence will admit that a superior being (God) had to have created the universe.

I have mentioned this before, but I will again and again.

I like this from Dr. Wayne Dyer.

Some scientists talk about the edge of the universe or that it is expanding.

Dr. Dyer asks...... what is on the other side of the universe? Is there a wall? What is on the other side of the wall and who built the wall?

HMMMMMMMM..............

The so called big brains claim to have answers for the big bang, and evolution, but no one can come up with an answer as to how a seed can become a tree or how two calls can come together and make a baby.

God's touch is required to make any living thing.

How is life created without God putting it in motion?

My mom was my Christian mentor and we would have several deep discussions.

One time she explained to me that God never stops creating.

One simple explanation was this.

He put the wheels in motion and hasn't stopped.

We see miracles and creation everyday.

We see new plants on the market that were created, some with the help of human hands, others by nature.

Evolution you may say, but someone had to put it in motion or create it.

The Grand Canyon evolved over time?

Perhaps.

But God created the river and set things in motion, so I say creation had a hand in it.

I've been asked before on how I can believe this and how can I say things are to perfect, when we have wars and killer storms and other disasters.

We live in a fallen world my friend.

God has universal laws.

The law of cause and effect, The law of attraction, etc.

Yes, these too are his laws.

From the very beginning, God fore-told the coming of Jesus and his purpose.

The Bible talks of wars, famine and other events.

The Bible also mentions "Stewardship".

We are to be good stewards and care for others.

We are to care for this planet as it is God's foot stool, not ours to do with what we want.

Earth as God's foot stool??????????????????

Can you only imagine how beautiful his home (heaven) must be if earth is his foot stool?

We are held accountable for our actions.

A passion for nature is a gift God gave to me.

It took me more than 30 years to understand and realize that he wanted me to do something with this gift.

A gift I can give back to God is using it and sharing with others as he intended it to be.

Teaching, sharing and giving to others and learning from you as well.

God uses everything when we allow him to do so.

Yes allow.........................

God gave us a free will, it is up to us on what path we choose.

Jesus as man also had that free will and he chose to suffer and die for us.

He also gave each of us a special gift(s) and talents. Special skills that we have. Skills that no one else can possess like you do.

A whopping 3% of us dare to follow our dreams that God gave us. Many of us never know or understand that.

Some of us don't know until we are in mid or late life and even more may know, but are afraid to leave that comfort zone.

If Jesus had stayed in a comfort zone, than Good Friday never would've have been and there would not be an Easter Sunday.

Without the crucifixion and resurrection, than everything else would be meaningless.

Life would have no direction and we would be wondering around as if we evolved.

We are held accountable for our actions.

Jesus himself said on Palm Sunday, if his followers didn't shout out his name, the very stones would shout praise.

Makes you wonder, like the song says............ did the grass sing? Did the earth rejoice to feel him again?

Joshua said: Choose this day whom you may serve, as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.

Since I have decided to listen to God and began to follow his desires for me, I have seen Nature (his gifts) and people in a whole new light.

It is amazing what we can see and hear when our eyes and ears are open.

Imagine what we can dream, feel and visualize when our heart and mind is open to his will.

I am so awe struck and thankful at what my God has given me and I thank you for allowing me to share with you.

Because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved

Romans 10: 9

A Blessed Resurrection Sunday to you

May God richly bless you.

Your friend in Christ
