Thank you Holy Father.
Yolanda came home this afternoon.
Medical staff figured she would do better and eat better in the comforts of home.
Thank you for your continued prayers, as we still have to get her back to baseline.
For new and old readers alike......
I attempt to write an Easter Letter every year.
This is my go at it for this Easter.
Starts with Palm Sunday, and Culminates with Easter Sunday.
The Greatest Story Ever Told.
Jesus grand entrance into Jerusalem.
Thursday is know for the 'Last Supper'
Friday the scourging, beating, humiliation, followed by the crucifixion Of Christ.
Friday and Saturday saw His enemies celebrating.
Satan was in part mode.
The stone was rolled away.
The tomb was empty.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die".
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"
(1 Corinthians 15:55)
There is however, more to this story.
In the very beginning, God desires oneness with His people.
In some of his last words to us Jesus prays......
"My prayer is not for them alone (apostles). I pray also for those will will believe in Me through their message, that all of them (us) may be one, Father, just as you are in Me and i am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may one as we are one-- I in them and You in Me--so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent me and have laved them even as you have loved Me." (John 17: 20-23).
This is often described as Jesus wanting a relationship with us.
But Jesus wants a union with us.
He is after more, He wants unity..... oneness.
"My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people." (Ezekiel 37:27)
All through the bible, God is seeking unity with His people.
All through the bible and history, we all fall short.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 23:3)
It was for this that Father sent His only Son to die for our sins.
Past, Present, and Future.
"If any hear my voice and open the door, I will come into their house and eat with them, and they will eat with me." (Revelation 3:20)
"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." (Hebrews 8:12)
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26)
No longer does God see us and sinners as we are still often taught.
You and I become sons and daughters.
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." (Romans 8:17)
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." (Daddy, God.) - (Romans 8:15)
It is this love affair God has for me and I strive to have with Him, that has me pursuing Him and His perfect love He has to offer you and me.
It is this oneness I want.
I want to do his will, not mine.
Oh sure, I fail miserably everyday, But HE knows my heart.
As King David said ....
"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." (Psalm 23:6)
God won't turn you into His slave.
That isn't free will.
His desire is for you to have oneness with him.
"God Is Love." (I John 4:16)
This oneness I desire also helps grow my faith in Him.
To believe His word is True and all the promises he offers to you and me.
The first and only step any person needs to take is this.
"For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Ask Jesus into your heart and to forgive your sins.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." (I John 1:9)
"Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from EVERY lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds." (Titus 2:14)
Is life easier?
But life is much more full and to know his peace , is something special.
Welcome to the family of Christ.
A blessed and Jesus filled Easter to you and your household.
He Has Risen!
"Treat the earth well:
It was not given to you by your parents,
It was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our
Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."
Ancient Indian Proverb
Your friend indeed,
Better yet, have them sign up so they can receive their own letters.
