Picking on Monsanto Again
July 07, 2014
Hi,

America and Canada, I hope you celebrated your country's birthday in Grand Style.

The 4th of July weekend was one of beauty.

The weather for the 4th was about as ideal as one could ask for.

Toss in good food and family, and you can't lose.

238 birthdays 'America'...............

Let's get back to what our founding fathers built and we can expect many more celebrated birthdays.

Continue at this pace..........

"We Need God in America Again".

Sadly, it has been 3 weeks since I have seen the Osprey.

Indeed, the nest on the cell tower sits empty (from my vantage point below).

It appears the coyote family has moved on or relocated.

I haven't seen a in in a week, plus.

Watching the kits frolic and play was Nat Geo in real life.

I do have a couple pictures of wildlife to share from the local pond.

A massive 'Snapping Turtle' whose head is larger than my fist and neck thicker than my forearm.

A colorful picture (distant) of a 'Green Heron'.

For the second year in a row, the pond has some special visitors.

A mother 'River Otter' and three pups.

I have captured a picture of mom and one pup so far.

These elusive critters are up and back under before I can get them in vies and click.

No picture, but I did see my first 'Monarch Butterfly' of the season at my brother's this past July 4.

A full two months ahead of last year.

I hope that is a good sign.

God's Natural world never seizes to amaze me.

This week it is pick on Monsanto again.

I know, I know..............

I can't help it however, as they make it so darn easy to pick on them.

Take your time, read a tidbit or two, and come back later.

Enjoy.

Back on June 12, 2014, Monsanto and the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) filed a lawsuit in federal the U.S. District Court, State of Vermont, to overturn Vermont’s recently passed GMO labeling law.

Where a few other states have tried and failed, voters in Vermont successfully passed a law that would require food packagers and manufactures to label GMO's in the food.

Monsanto, the GMA, and other companies don't want this.

Forget about your health, they only sees dollar signs.

'Autism'.

I have a nephew who is severely limited with Autism.

I know what my brother and his family go through.

Autism disorder, Rarely heard of a few decades ago.

When my nephew was born 20 some years ago, Autism was something like 1 in a 1,000 or 2,000

Today..........................

It is something like 1 in 89 American babies born will have this disorder in some form.

Chemicals in our food?

Chemicals in the soil?

Our water supplies?

To feed the world?

I'm not saying Monsanto of anyone is to blame,

I am suggesting you put 2 and 2 together.

This battle is about your health, and the health of your environment.

This battle is about the rights of states to pass laws to protect their citizens.

This is our battle.

And it’s going to take all of us pulling together to win it.

Fresh from the 'Organic Consumers Association' (OCA) and credit given to the OCA:

"Monsanto loves to claim that its GMO crops are needed to feed the world.

But what the Gene Giants don't want you to remember is that the chemicals they sully our food, soil, air and water with were originally developed to make bombs.

When the Big War ended, in order to keep the profits rolling in, Monsanto convinced farmers that the only way to grow food is Monsanto's way—with GMO crops, and millions of tons of toxic chemicals.

Fast-forward to today, and the impact of Monsanto's GMO crops can be measured in terms of degraded soil, nutrient-deficient foods, billions of sick animals on factory farms, an increasingly obese and chronically ill human population."

Todays GMO wheat scarcely has any food value and loaded with toxins.

Sugar beets, corn, soybeans, other grains and even leafy vegetables.

Fed to farm animals (along with steroids).

We consume.

Scary isn't it?

Again, from the OCA:

"So what do the Gene Giants propose for beating back the weeds?

Bigger, better herbicides. A strategy that scientists say will only create bigger and better superweeds.

Still, our U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), instead of calling a halt to a dangerous and vicious cycle, is on the verge of approving yet another deadly herbicide. Unless we stop them.

The pesticide-peddlers at Dow AgroSciences want the EPA to approve something they call Enlist Duo.

We call it the Deadly Duo, because it uses a combination of 2,4-D, one of the toxic ingredients in Agent Orange, and Roundup, whose key active ingredient, glyphosate, is linked to a host of ills, including birth defects, infertility, allergies and cancer.

Why are the biotech companies now turning to Agent Orange chemicals to fight weeds? Because Monsanto's Roundup, the most widely used herbicide in the world, is no longer working."

HELLO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Any body home at the EPA, USDA, Congress?

Any body at all?

Consumers, gardeners, friends of our planet.......

We can still win this battle.

Most of Europe has banned GMO's

Countries in Africa and South America are following suit.

Why is North America on ignore?

HELLO >>>>>>>>>>>>>

How many more tests have to show the dangers?

How many more birth defects?

Calm down Ron, this is simply a newsletter, and you are communicating with friends.

Lighten up buddy.

National Pollinator week was last month and get this.....

Sponsored by Monsanto and Bayer.

The same companies that that spend millions of dollars every year, to kill our pollinators and birds attempt to play the good guy.

I'm sure you have read some of the reports.

I report on a few now and then.

The evidence is now overwhelming.

GMO's, neonicotinoid pesticides, Chemicals that remain in a plant from seed to harvest.

I continue to say this.

The Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) that are altered so crops aren't affected by Roundup, yet kill weeds........ we consume that.

We consume these toxins.

Bees bring the tainted pollen back to nests.

Nectar feeders like hummingbirds and butterflies consume this.

Other birds feed on chemical laced insects.

Weeds and insects that survive, become super weeds and super bugs.

Friends, nature wasn't made for this.

Pick on Monsanto and other money grubbing, don't care who or what is kill and ruined..

Yes, you and I need to make ourselves heard.

You can always vote with your feet.

Well, it is time to fly for now.

Before I go, here is your positive thought for the week.

God bless.

"It is a hard rule of life, and I believe a healthy one, that no great plan is ever carried out without meeting and overcoming endless obstacles that come up to try the skill of a man's hand, the quality of his courage, and the endurance of his faith."

Donald Douglas, American Founder Douglas Aircraft Company, later McDonnell Douglas.

"Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."

Apostil Paul

1 Corinthians 16:13

"Treat the earth well:

It was not given to you by your parents,

It was loaned to you by your children.

We do not inherit the Earth from our

Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."

Ancient Indian Proverb

Your friend indeed,

Ron Patterson
