God's Grace
April 10, 2017

You got to love it.

A heavy wet snow, rain, and gale for winds on Thursday.

The weekend brought lots of sunshine, and Sunday brought 70 degree temperatures (21 c.).

Yard work is delayed once again due to wet conditions.

Spring in Michigan.

Prayers for the storm ravaged regions and the great loss.

Bird activity continues.

Tree swallows are back, and the Osprey have moved back to their nest on the cell tower nearby.

Territory scuffles, and mating rituals are at a fevered pitch for many species of birds.

I always enjoy the tender moments exchanged between mates, as the exchange of food and snuggles become more apparent.

Mourning doves are not shy about when or where they mate.

The rabbits have been in pairs for weeks now.

Every year I attempt to write an Easter letter (Sharing my God and faith).

Every year The enemy attempts to stop me.

Family illness, or some other major issue pops up (computer problems).

Some, are own fault, many out of our control.

Then come the mental blocks where I simply can't write.

Many of you know exactly where I am coming from.

This is Holy week, starting with Palm Sunday and finishing with Resurrection Sunday (Easter).

Most of you have heard or read about the 'Greatest Story Ever Told',

About the unrequited love of God and His Son (Jesus), for us.

By The Grace of God ......

Jesus Died for our sins.

Victory truly came with His Resurrection.

All Glory to God.

God's Grace.

God's Grace was apparent before the beginning of time.

All you have to do is look around you to see His beauty.

God's plan for Jesus was also in place.

God's Grace.

We are taught Unmerited gift, Love, Mercy, Forgiveness of sins.

His Glory.

All are descriptions of God's Grace, and rightfully so.

What we aren't taught, and very few get, is this ........

The very essence of God is His Grace.

Grace is the empowerment of God.

Paul Writes this in 2 Corinthians 12:9

But He said to me “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Did you catch that?

God refers to His Grace as his power.

God's empowerment is made perfect in our weakness, or inability.

John 1: 14 and 16

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. And from His fullness have we all received grace upon grace.

God's power upon power.

Is this what Jesus meant when he said in John 10:10?

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

To have a life, and live a life full of His grace.

And Matthew 11:29

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Grace upon Grace, His power to save us and give us a full life, if we follow him.

Mercy, Love, Authority.

God's grace also gave us Jesus.

God's grace was Jesus, as He (very human) obeyed His Father to the cross and death.

Grace lifted him from the grave and to be seated at God's right hand in victory.

Our Saving Grace.

Amazing Grace.

Paul again writes this in Romans 3:23-24

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

His Grace, His Empowerment.

Titus 2:11,12.

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age."

Grace is also a teacher.

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This is the Grace of God.

Jesus says in John 15:4

"Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."

Living in Grace.

If we remain in Jesus, live the way God instructs us to, We are insured to be covered with the grace of God.

To be empowered my His presence.

This is why the enemy always makes sin so attractive.

He doesn't want us to live for God.

Where as living for God is a full life, full of joy and happiness.

Living in sin is certain death.

Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5:20, 21).

Can we go to him in our time of need?

Again, the Apostle Paul writes this in Hebrews 4:16

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

We can approach with the faith of a child.

God's Grace.

2 Peter 1: 2,3 says this.

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence."

Do you hear Him calling?

Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Love, Mercy, Creation, Salvation, Parent, Teacher, Comforter, and much, much more.

God's Grace.

God doesn't expect you or me, to conform or change first.

He wants you as you are.

Psalm 51:17 says ........

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Is He calling?

Grace is also the free will he gave you and me.

This didn't turn out like I had hoped, however I pray the message was received.

Well, it is time to fly for now.

Before I go, here is your positive thought for the week.

A Blessed Holy week to you.

By the Grace of God.

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' "

Luke 24:5-7

"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"

1 Corinthians 15:55

"Treat the earth well:

It was not given to you by your parents,

It was loaned to you by your children.

We do not inherit the Earth from our

Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."

Ancient Indian Proverb.
