Computer issues,I haven't been online for several days.

I out smarter myself.

Here is a short version.

There have been many issues with our Computer, and I was looking to get a new one in the next month or two.

Last Tuesday evening, Karen answered the phone, a foreign sounding voice says they are calling from Micosoft, and we are having issues with our computer.

Karen hands me the phone.

At first I thought the call could be real.

Now here is where I could kick myself, I thought possible scam, so I played along just to see where this was headed.

Like a dummy, I let them into my computer.

They showed me all the problems I was experiencing and they could fix it.

Okay I said.

The short version.

I had to go buy five, $100.00 I-tune cards and give them the code numbers.

These guys didn't want much I thought and chuckled.

Well, they held my computer hostage and kept insisting I get the cards.

Well, I,m in the process of getting a new computer as the scammers managed to fry some parts.

Indeed, I out smarter myself.

I hope that this may help one of you, a family member or a friend from being scammed, or like me, thinking you are too smart for a hustle.

Don't let anyone over the phone mess with you.

I found after the fact that Microsoft never calls.

I also heard several shorter stories worse than mine from the Geek Squad.

Besides waiting on the new computer, we also got Karen this tablet I using right now.

I should have the new machine soon, and need some time to figure it out.

Remember, I'm a simple country boy.

I choose not to have a cell phone.

Anyway, if I get time I will try to get some kind of letter out.

If not, I hope to get my letter out foe Easter and Holy Week.

In the mean time, clean your feeders and water supplies.

Go slow and easy in the yard and gardens.

Especially with wet ground

God Bless.
