He's Alive April 18, 2014 |
Hi,![]() Jesus longs for you to come close to him.
He has been moving throughout all eternity, battling, suffering, dying, and triumphing to win your heart for Himself.
He wants to capture your heart as a response to his overwhelming love for you.
Resurrection Morning. On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee". Luke 24: 1-6 He's Alive. God's plan from the beginning was to save His people from death. His ultimate was to sacrifice His only Son to save us from sin and death. "The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:17-18 Jesus loves us so much, that He freely and lovingly gave His live so we might also have life and have it to the full. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Jesus, John 10:10 Life to the full, here on earth and eternal life with Him in heaven. Praise God. John 1:1-4 Without Jesus, nothing was made. Pure life.................... What a loving and giving heart. He's Alive. From the beginning, it was all about the heart. Think about the feelings of the heart. We love, rejoice, jump for joy, hurt, all from the heart. We can also hate, be jealous, curse, impure thoughts, wish harm, and kill from the heart. From the first sin in the Garden of Eden, the pure heart was changed. The enemy knows how and where to attack. God our Father also knows where the soul and life of man lives, the heart. ![]() "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart and new spirit. A clean and pure heart. The heart is everything. How often have we heard that you have a bad, or dirty, or impure heart. Many churches today still preach that (shame on them). But the Bible says we have a pure heart. Once you are a Christian, you have a pure and clean heart. The Spirit of the Lord can't dwell in a dirty heart. Need more? "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." King Solomon, Proverbs 4:23 Read that again. "I pray the eyes of your heart may be enlightened." Ephesians 1:18 Eyes of your heart? He's Alive. ![]() "The heart is central. That we would even need to be reminded of this only shows how far we have fallen from the life we were meant to live - or how powerful the spell has been. The subject of the heart is addressed in the Bible more than any other topic - more than works or service, more than belief or obedience, more than money, and even more than worship. Maybe God knows something we've forgotten. But of course - all those other things are matters of the heart." John Eldredge Best Selling Author and speaker. Now consider a few passages from the Bible. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5 "Man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Luke 12:34 "Trust the Lord with all your heart." Proverbs 3:5 "Your word I have treasured in my heart." Psalm 119:11 "These people honor me with there lips, but their hearts are far from me." Jesus, Matthew 15:8 "All of man's ways seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart." Proverbs 21:2 "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him." Proverbs 21:2 You see my friends, it's the heart of man that God wants to save. Our flesh will die, but our heart (spirit) lives.
He's Alive.
![]() This is why Jesus was crucified, bled, died and rose from the grave in Victory. To conquer sin and death once and for all. He's Alive. "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1 Corinthians 15:55 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 We can have a pure heart.
A clean heart. The enemy wants you to believe and to keep thinking you are a worthless so and so. Keep you beaten down. That we don't have a right to a rich life in Jesus.
However, check this out.
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," Roman 8:1 No condemnation or judging from God once we are His children. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." Jesus, Revelation 3:20
He's Alive "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9 Is His heart not drawn to the hearts of those who love him?
Once again, the heart.
He's Alive. ![]()

It was not given to you by your parents,
